Potato Pathology and Genomics

The goal of our heirloom database project is to describe the morphology, disease resistance phenotypes, and molecular fingerprint of potato cultivars that are not currently commercially prominent in the U.S. Started in 2004, our efforts will provide reliable information for the selection of disease resistant potato cultivars for production, breeding, and research. Each year we will report disease screening efforts including evaluation of materials for resistance to common scab, late blight, PVY, and PLRV. Please check back frequently for updates as we continue to generate data.
